A special thank you to the Unity Mortuary for their professionalism, empathy, and kindness shown to us during this difficult time.
We now ask all to cherish the memories and the gems she may have given you during her life. We would like to thank you for the prayers, visits, and love shown during this time. She was preceded in death by Maurice Hunter (spouse), Jasmine Hunter (child), Mary Elizabeth Bell-Putman (mother), Gary Martin (brother), Michael Putman (nephew), and Desmand Hunter (brother-in-law).Īcknowledgement from the Family: We, the family of Cetrina Hunter, would like to express the heartfelt sympathy shown on behalf of our dear mother. Her siblings and in-laws are Merley Rice, Anthony Putman, Ulrica Kemp, Janice Grier, William Boseman, Perez Gaines, Mandrell Hatten, Veronica Geer, Brandon Boseman and Tameka Hamilton and a host of nieces and nephews (Ya’ll know who you are!) Her grandchildren are Jamariyun Murphy, Serenity Martin, Anaria Lee, Alaila Hunter, A’mora Lee, Destiny Hunter, and Amina Lee. Left to cherish those moments are her children, Jocatavius Lee, Alexis Lee, Jillajia Hunter, and Zyon Putman. No child or person was left behind around her. Her home was the place to come to where you felt loved, hopeful, and accepted. Everyone called her auntie, but she was ‘’Mama’’ to them as well. Our loving, beautiful, and humble mother was just that.
Her specialty was macaroni and baked beans. She also enjoyed cooking large meals for her family. Time and time again, she set an example of what it looks like to have faith in the Most High.Ĭetrina enjoyed playing, dancing, and doing whatever with and for her grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing this hope with all those she met and knew. She allowed the promise of the resurrection hope to be front of her and allowed that promise to fill the void of missing her soulmate, Maurice. Her life wasn’t easy, but she made Jehovah her strength and refuge. She eventually dedicated her life to her God, Jehovah, on November 25, 1996. She was raised in the truth and began to study the scriptures with a special pioneer sister, Olive B. She married her late husband, Maurice Hunter, in July of 1991, whom she loved dearly and cherished. She fell asleep in death on October 16, 2023.
